WHAT IS THE AUDITION WORKSHOP:

We are hosting a Little Mermaid Audition Clinic on Saturday, February 7 from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM.

  • This is a FREE event

  • You will rotate through three sessions:

    • Choreography – learn the audition dance early

    • Audition Prep – get ready for singing auditions

    • Acting Class – practice acting skills and confidence

If you want extra help, you can sign up for a 1-on-1 private lesson with an experienced performer/coach. They will work with you directly on your audition material to help you feel more confident and prepared.

During The Little Mermaid, Jr. Audition Workshop on Saturday, February 7, you’ll be given a scheduled time to meet with a coach and polish your audition.

Details:

  • Cost: $15 (cash or Venmo), paid directly to the coach

  • Limited spots available – sign up soon by clicking “yes” below.

  • You’ll get a confirmation email closer to the workshop with your time and coach’s name.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT AUDITIONS:

Vocal Audition

  • Pick ONE song from the audition folder.

  • You will go into the choir room by yourself and sing for the casting team.

  • Do not bring your phone or worry about music—we will have it ready.

  • Be prepared and make sure you know your song well.

Choreography Audition

  • Go to the stage at your assigned time with everyone in your grade.

  • You will be taught the same dance as everyone else.

  • At the end, you’ll be split into small groups.

  • You will get 3 chances to perform the dance in your small group.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I GET A CALLBACK:

  • Callback emails will be sent out by Tuesday, February 10 at 10:00 PM.

  • Not getting a callback does NOT mean you are not cast in the show.

  • If you do get a callback, check the audition folder and:
Review the callback song for your role
Review the sides (script pages) for that role

  • Callbacks will be on Thursday, starting at 3:30 PM in the choir room.

  • Students will be finished and dismissed at different times throughout the evening. (Students will text parents when finished with their callback).
